Job Description/Position
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Launch Control System (LCS) development team, this individual will be responsible for conducting requirements analysis, design, implementation, and software testing. This position is a hands on software developer. The developer will work in a software development lifecycle as defined in the LCS Software Development Plan (SDP).
Required Skills/Special Training:
Candidate will perform as a software engineer on a team developing a large scale Command and Control system for both launch and vehicle processing. Job duties include design, development, integration, testing and documentation of software components for customized Software Applications.
Candidate must have recent experience programming large-scale real-time systems applications in C+
on the Linux Operating System.
Experience with Java, IBM AIX Operating System, AccuRev, ClearQuest, and RequisitePro is desirable, but are secondary requirements.
Experience must be within last 3-5 years.
C+
development in Windows is not applicable to this position.
Education/Years of
Experience:
BS/BA in Computer Science or a Technical field preferred or experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
Software Engineer 5 requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Software Engineer 6 requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience.
College Degrees must come from a school that is accredited in the discipline of the degree to be considered.
