Contracts Administrator (3355)

CHSi has a full time opening for a Contracts Administrator to work in our Cape Canaveral, FL office. This role reports to the Director of Contracts.

JOB
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating, and revising contracts that involve the purchase or sale of goods or services such as equipment, materials, supplies, or products.
Prepare and revise contracts that involve the purchase of sale of goods and services.
Handle the acquisition, distribution, and store of equipment and supplies.
Oversee proposal planning and administration of contracts.
Negotiate terms and conditions.
Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets.
Track authorizations and correspondence.
Maintain detailed and organized files.
Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.
Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, facilitate contractor meetings.
Ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations.
Perform closing activities as needed.
Track payments and deadlines.
Analyze and mitigate risk.
Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to work well in a multi-tasking, team environment.
Knowledge of ITAR plus.
Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
five (5) years of experience in the preparation, administration and monitoring of contracts, to include (2) years supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity
Experience with construction and/or design professional contracts preferred
Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis

Clean criminal background check
Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
