Information Security Intern (3339)

CHSi has a part time opening for an Information Security Intern role to work in our corporate headquarters in Cape Canaveral, FL during the summer from June-August. This role will work 24-32 hours per week.
This position will engage in a challenging and ever changing environment within the Information Security Team. This position will work with a diverse group of Information Technology personnel to support ongoing security related projects and initiatives. This individual will also contribute to security-related initiatives within the IT Security Risk Assessment, Third-Party Management, Personnel Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Management, and Business Continuity programs as well as various other security initiatives. This position will prepare the perspective candidate for a future in the growing field of Cyber Security.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assist in updating and creating policy, procedure and process documentation.
Basic maintenance within Security Tool applications.
Gathering security generated reports for management review.
General understanding of assessment frameworks such as PCI and HIPAA.
Reviews Tier1 level emails and actions or escalates as necessary.
Qualifications:
Intern must be actively enrolled in some form of accredited higher education. This includes programs provided by universities, vocational schools, community colleges, institutes of technology, or other organizations that awards academic degrees.
Intern must have complete at least one year within their institution of higher education and carry a 2.5 grade point average before being considered for a Comprehensive Health Services, Incorporated internship. (Student must submit copy of last grade report with cumulative GPA along with the application for employment)
Intern must have a letter of recommendation from an instructor at the educational institute they are currently enrolled
Intern must be working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security; preferably in Cyber Security.
Intern must be a citizen of the United States.
