Job Description:
Produce moderately-complex technical designs for civil/structural/mechanical modifications to new and existing facility related systems in support of ULA Atlas V and Delta IV Launch Operations at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL. Provides CAD and project support for the construction of new and refurbishment of existing system elements as part of the ULA Engineering and Infrastructure Team.
Requires knowledge of civil, structural and mechanical drafting practices and sound knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and industry standards. Derive requirements, incorporating innovations and options to reach project objectives within schedule and budget. Provides engineering support for short and long term infrastructure planning and capital improvement construction projects and maintenance operations. Responsible for the generating design and support of implementation documentation used to direct subcontractors for fabrication and constructions efforts. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigate pertinent design factors such as ease of fabrication, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and/or electromechanical. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Basic Requirements:
Associates degree; or 4 years of directly related work experience may be used to satisfy the associates degree requirement
3 years of related work experience
Proficient in AutoCad
Experience with facility related civil, structural, mechanical systems
Experience with architectural building systems design
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience using a Solid Modeling program such as AutoCad Inventor
Bachelors degree in a science or industrial related field

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
