Overview:
Full Spectrum Operations, a joint venture between By Light Professional IT Services and AmericanCommunications Solutions is hiring a Network Engineer for the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL.
The Eastern and Western Ranges provide capabilities for customers to safely launch, track and recover spacelift systems as well as perform operational test missions in support of ballistic missile deployment and aircraft flight tests.
EWOCS provides communication systems maintenance, operations, and support services for voice, video, data and infrastructure yielding a robust communications capability for a wide range of customers in a dynamic launch environment.
As the Space Force continues consolidating communications systems, we are growing to further support these efforts.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement self-healing networks to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Maintain overall functionality of networks, troubleshooting routing, switching, and multicast faults.
Configure and troubleshoot RADIUS, SYSLOG, NTP, OSPF, Auto-RP, and other network protocols.
Monitor network load balancing, route cost patterns, overall system health, and advise on potential upgrades or reconfigurations.
Identify the need to upgrade or enhance network component capabilities.
Review Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) alerts and take appropriate actions.
Harden networking infrastructure while balancing customer availability, integrity, and confidentiality needs.
Resolve Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) findings, providing proper documentation and justification to Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) personnel.
Provide on-site technical and operational support for the installation and operation of telecommunications equipment.
Conduct site surveys to determine feasibility of equipment installations and ensure logistical support.
Mentor other IT personnel as needed.
Required Experience/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceMust meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirementsExperience designing and implementing self-healing networksExpert understanding of Cisco and/or Juniper technologiesExpert understanding of networking protocolsExperience in cross-platform networking environmentsExpert level experience in the configuration & operation of enterprise Palo Alto firewalls.
