ROLE PURPOSE The Host at RISING TIDE tap & table is a key contributor to the Guest experience - personifying our brand promise.
All actions by this individuals in this position should represent the brand principles - Crafted, Crave-able, Gather Round & Share, Big Hearted and Travel & Guide.

This position is the first greet, impression, and conversation for the Guest with RISING TIDE tap & table's brand and service.
This position will likely also be the Guest's last and equally important impression.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Greet incoming and departing Guests with a genuine smile and immediate, friendly eye contact.
Seek the Guest's preference for seating in eiher the bar or dining area.
Manage the flow of Guests into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate by constantly monitoring the floor with the MOD.
Connects with Guests by engaging in conversation while seating them at the Guests pace w/menus in hand.
Seeks the following information to pass on to the Server before s/he first greets his/her table.
First Time Guest Special occasion Local or visiting Inform Guest of any current promotion, clears the table of any un-needed settings, and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.
Promptly answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service to each call.
Regularly monitor the Guest restrooms for cleanliness and access.
Regularly collects, cleans, and rotates menus and promotional collateral to ensure best representation of the restaurant Continuously be observant of the entire floor while seating a Guest.
If another Guest's need is observed, address it if it can be done without disruption to Host service or inform the appropriate Server/Bartender.
Warmly thanks each Guest when leaving and invites them back, remaining cognizant of any final needs.
Has primary responsibility for all stages of To-Go service including order taking, accurate ringing into the POS, providing accurate ETA, working in coordination with Food Runners to ensure proper and complete order, and manages proper and expedient payment.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS Consistently fulfill the Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities above Guest and team member feedback on quality of service, productivity, relationships and partnership (minimum standards to be set by internal metrics) Articulate in foundational knowledge of RT3 food, craft beer and beverage menus QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must be able to carry natural conversations with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive Must be able to read menus Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance Must be able to clearly communicate Guests' needs to servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.
